Carmel Outpost and Future Dates
The Carmel Outpost met for the third time last night. (Outpost is our term for outward focused house churches – you can read about Mercy Road’s hybrid model of church in this post.) You can see some pics above snapped a week or two ago at the outpost. I told Lisa last night afterwards that I’m really starting to love Tuesday nights. It feels a bit like a big family. If you’re in the Indy area you’ll have to check it out. Each of the outposts are/will be, “Come as you are.” I promise we won’t condemn you where ever you’re at. We’ve had people all over the spiritual spectrum there so far. The coolest moment for me personally last night though was hearing people pray together many of which hadn’t been in church in years. I think I’ve been waiting months to hear something like that. I’m loving it.
We’re excited to announce some dates coming up including the start of two new outposts.
December 12 – We’ll by having a launch team meeting at our house (e-mail josh@mercyroad.cc for the address). We’ll be meeting Sunday morning at 10:30am. This will probably be the only meeting like this we’ll be able to have at our house due to size…so don’t miss this one! (childcare will be provided).
January 15 – This will be our next Vision Experience. We’ll be sharing the vision of Mercy Road and giving people a chance to consider joining the Launch Team. So block the date and invite who ever you’d like!
Mid-Late January – We’ll be starting the Fishers and Broadripple Outposts. If you’re interested in helping get these started e-mail Eric (eric@mercyroad.cc) for Fishers and Justin (justin@mercyroad.cc) for Broadripple. Our goals is to have 10 outposts by next August!
