How to be Wise
I was reading Psalm 111 today and came to the last verse:
10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!
Obviously (with all the important decisions we’ll be making in the next few months about the new church) having “understanding” is going to be critical for us this fall. I’ve been asking myself, do I have a healthy fear of God? or as the NIV puts it, am I following God’s precepts? It’s ironic, I feel like I need to go accomplish so many things in the coming weeks, but the most important thing is actually that my heart is right before God.
Let me ask you the same question…do you fear God? Is your heart right before Him? If you believe in God and see Jesus as Lord, then the Bible teaches wisdom comes through pursuing your relationship with Him.
